Engine is question is a 115hp 78' Johnson outboard 2-stroke.
When the warm up lever is up it'll start, idle (hight of course) and if I give it a little gas my pushing the carb linkage its rev up, down, basically run like its supposed to.
when I move the warm up lever down it dies.
So I put the lever back up, give it a little gas (manually my pushing linkage) and push warm-up lever down, it dies.
It will not stay running without that warm-up lever up.
So any idea whats going on?
Also, Its hard to start sometimes.
Guy at the boat shop said a simple carb test is to put your palm over one of the carbs and it should squirt gas onto your palm, which it does. and it spits gas when you crank with choke up. So his best guess is the carbs are functioning properley
