I recently purchased a Mercury Black Max 175 (1984 I was told)) and was wondering where to find the model # ? I've located the serial number plate but no model number was stamped on the plate, serial number only, any help would be greatly appreciated this is my first Mercury outboard and I'm waiting on my service manual to be delivered. Thanks!
