Hello again. While cleaning Carb, with the help of the forum..many thx... d:) I noticed that the carb. in this engine is the same as the 1967 Lark. This is IMPORTANT because it seems that most parts for the engine go to 1963 and then skip over to 1965, omitting 1964. If they are the same I will get a broader range of "old" and replacement parts. So two possibilities. Maybe my identification of the engine is off, or they are the same. The 1964 OEM manual seems to show the engine "as it is"., and identifying it as a 1964. Thus my Q's

Q? Are the Evinrude Larks 1964 and 1967 the same?
Q? What year is my engine, Serial EO1174 Model: 404738.

Thank you!!!

Since I just replaced carb. going to try her out...hey I even get WOT now...wow.8)

'64 and '67 are basically the same. The carburetor automatic choke was changed at some time--maybe 63-64--from a hot water activated choke to a hot air activated one. Makes a difference in the hoses and exhaust covers, according to which type it is. The hot water choke was terrible. The hot air one is OK as long as the choke "stove" isn't rusted through.
