should i have my 318 chrysler engines rebuilt remanned or buy new as far as i can see no one is happy with rebuilt or remanned this is an older boat 1976 i am retired and need to keep cost down any help appreciated r dondero sr

There is nothing wrong with a rebuilt or remanufactured engine provided the work is done by a shop that knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, unless you pull the engines yourself, you probably have little "say-so" as to where your engine goes for the rebuild. In this day & age anything is negotiable so work with a shop you trust and work a deal with them that they R&R the engines, but you want the rebuilds done by XXXXX Engine Rebuilders (e.g., a company you have researched and want to do the work).
