My old boat has a 4cyd chevy motor/ merch i/o1 120 , when I put it in the water for the first time this year,it start and idle's ok, it will run out of gear ar a high rpm ok, but when I try to open the throttle the engine comes up to speed for about 30sec, then boggs down and stall's. It has a new full in the tank, my question is it, ignition or fuel. added dry gas, used card cleaner, still no change. I can not find the fuel filer, I traced the fuel line from the tank throught the pump, and to the carb, but no filter, is it possible there in not one? Before I change the fuel pump how can I be possitive it needs a new one?
