Envinrude/Johnson model and year

I bought a used Johnson or Evinrude 40hp but I'm not sure what year and mode it is,because the Model and Serial number plate is gone.<br />The vendor told me that year was 1994. The only serial number i found on "freeze plug" were: G3756362.<br /><br />Some member told me that not posible to know what year was with only this data. But I want to know if someone could send me some photos of motor of that year or some web pages where I could find information about...<br /><br />Many Thank

Can you tell us what color it is and what the decals are like? The G means it was made in Georgia (USA). They were made there in the 1990s, so 1994 might be correct. There were not many changes to that motor in those years.
