. . . my arse!!! LadyFish, of course, can choose whether or not to contribute here. Yes, Mrs. QC is blonde . . .

I lost my wedding ring tubing on Lake Mead 20 years ago. I have been apologizing for it ever since even though I know exactly where it is :D

Then there is Mrs. QC . . . :rolleyes: She loses jewelry that I buy her like it is nothing. Diamond necklace? Turned in with a leased car . . . Diamond earrings? Well she still has one of them. Plus she loses car keys, cash, wallets, credit cards, license, more cash . . . And each and every time I have to console her . . . :rolleyes: What the flip is that? I lose stuff, I have to apologize, grovel, suck up, whatever. She loses stuff, I have to make her feel better, say I am sorry she lost it . . no . . . wait . . . I am sorry that it disappeared from your own house and how could that happen to you and why? I also can't suggest that she should put that stuff in a safe place etc.

Then there was this weekend. She lost a ring I had made for her with three diamonds, one for each boy. Annnnnd a ring she borrowed from a friend. Also a diamond. She had me question the boy's friends . . . cried, I had to console her even though I wanted to strangle her etc. . . . What kind of equal justice is that? I want to kill her, but I have to hug her and tell her that I am sorry that the rings are gone . . . God forbid I say "sorry you lost your rings" . . . That would indicate responsibility somehow lies with her :rolleyes: WTF?

Re: Equality of the sexes . . .

Seems to me that the problem lies with you, QC.

Obviously you set this ritual in motion back in your courting days.

She liked the way it left her blameless. And relished the way she was rewarded, and the control and power it gave her.

Once she tasted that power, it was all down hill.

Oh, and after you and the wife pass on, either your children, or the next owners of your house, will find a box of "lost" items, right where your wife has hidden them.

The sooner you accept responsibility for all the carp that happens to anybody in you home, the sooner you can go fishing.

Quit your bellyaching and go buy her another ring, she deserves it.

Re: Equality of the sexes . . .

I feel your grief. But luckily i' not married to it. Sylvia and I have lived together 5 years, friends for 5 years before that. she looses everything, usually in her purse. i use to get up and help her look for stuff. she was diagnosed as ADHD, a few years ago, when i insisted she go to the MD. he gave her some meds, that really helped. she has since quit talking it. now i just sit and laugh when she looses something, and tell her to get back on the meds.

i have to laugh, as it gets extremely frustrating, and the meds make her life so much easier. where are my keys? cell phone? purse?

If you really think of your wedding ring as just stuff... you had better keep apologizing! :D

My wife tend to be "more equal" wne we discuss things....... however, just like a raven or a squirrel she is attracted to shiny things (LOL she even likes me going bald!).

Rules are I buy her "bling" and she does not say anything when I buy myself toys.

I don't think they're lost. I think they're in a jar on the nightstand as a daily reminder....:eek::D:D

Seriously though, QC, I feel your pain (referring to the lost jewelery, not the comments above)
