Erroneous oil change warning?

2017 Mustang GT, dealer changed oil 3K ago, right before I bought the car with 43K on it, I got oil change message a few days ago, the level fine, looks perfect (like honey) did they forget to reset oil change warning? I'm in central TX where our weather changes rapidly, Thx

Just reset it yourself...those Oil Life Monitors are notorious for errors.

you got your car a year ago. you change oil at X number of miles or every year.

so its now time to change oil again.

I've been going by the, if it still looks good, it's probably fine criteria for quite a while. Maybe rub a little between my fingers (yep, still 10W-30, lol).

Looks like brand new , I reset the meter, after talking to the dealership

I think Fords are the worst for oil change notifications. Buddy has a 2022 F3500 with under 6000 miles and the truck ask for an oil change every 6 months (we think). There is nothing in the manual so far as when (mileage or time)

yeah on my 2012 F150 TT 3.5 it'll pop up once a year - I don't drive too much
