Hello my friends, I need your help please
After getting error code close loop gasoline bank 2 I changed all O2 sensor, and turn on the engine. engines started but it’s look like having misfire, shaking bad. And smell gasoline so bad, I thought the fuel injectors is the problem because I replaced them couple weeks ago.
so I put back the OEM fuel injectors and turn on the engine and same issue shaking and smell gasoline. And later I tried to start the engine it’s won’t spinning and making weird noise like metal hitting metal, After that I open all the spark plugs to see what going on, it’s surprised me the spark plug on cylinder #3 left side when I opened it start pouring gasoline from the cylinder. I never see something like this before, So after that I made my compression test and got the psi numbers as below
Left side
C1=160 psi
C2 =150 psi
C3=160 psi
C4= 135psi

Right side
C1=135 psi
C2=120 psi
C3=130 psi
C4=135 psi

Please let me know what is the problem

The error with Bank 2 is because there is to much fuel.

The excess fuel can be from a fuel system, leaky injectors, bad/no spark, bad connection.

The plugs look real clean, when were they replaced?

Your motor uses the HVS distributor and the cap has a high failure rate. The cap can look great and still be bad. Most keep a spare on board just in case.

Is fuel pressure between 50-60 psi?

Had a Volve powered one at the shop, The mis fire would not go away. Plugs looked new but after changing the issue went away. I had already checked fuel pressure and a bunch of other stuff, but it continued. Plugs did the trick.

DO NOT RUN THIS ENGINE !!!
ALL the gasoline is washing away yje lubrication in the cylinder walls !! Check your oil level. it should be way over the full mark.
You have a very unsafe boat !! Get a MARINE mechanic to ONLY turn the key on. Very dangerous engine now.
Do not go aboard the boat. Be prepared for a large repair bill. Good luck

2 week old new sparkplugs. 1 reject
Post #3 also has a great possibility. 1 contact in the distributor cap is not working correctly.

Try this with the key ON and motor off, measure voltage on both sides of injector #3 on left bank. You should see 12V on each side of the 2 pin injector connection. If one side is 0V and not 12V than there is a ground being applied

If there is 12V on each side of injector #3, remove the connector on the injector. Start the motor and note the difference in how it idles, is there any difference? Let it run for a few minutes and than pull plug. Is plug wet with gas?
