Escort trailer bunk question

93 bayliner w/escort trailer. I bought this boat/trailer combo used about 2 months ago and while looking at the parts catalog for the trailer I noticed a picture of the side of the trailer with the bunks clearly shown. The question I have is the picture showed the U shaped channel under the bunk at the forward support, my trailer has it at the rear support (near/under the transom). So, did a previous owner mess up and reverse their position or is it not a big deal and just not worry about it?

As always, thanks

Re: Escort trailer bunk question

Probably does not matter. One end is adjustable, the other is not, right? It really doesn't matter much which end is adjustable as long as the adjustable ends are both at the same location. On my Escort trailer, both ends are the U shaped support, the front is set at an angle so the bunk takes a twist to match the curve of the hull.

As long as the hull is fully supported by the bunks, then there is no need to worry.
