Hello, i am having trouble getting my old eska running. The engine is not getting fuel. There is a needle attached to 4 inches of hose and a bolt at the end on the carb overflow i think it is right by where the fuel line goes in. I would like to replace this with a proper part.

I have taken a small wire and carb cleaner to the fuel passage and still it seems like the fuel stops right there at the fuel inlet because when i take off the needle and hose thing fuel gushes out and there isn't any fuel in the bowl.

Also what carb rebuild kit is best?

Thanks

I don't follow you on this part, could you clarify what your talking about?

as far as which kit is better, any kit that has all the parts for your carb, your problem sounds like a bad flapper valve and viton seat.

find your engine model no. and call the nice people at any of the Eska parts dealers mentioned here in this forum and they will have what you need.

Re: Eska 3.5 carb help

Its not a needle, its a fuel inlet and fixable
Behind the 2 fuel inlets tubes is the flaper valve and a screen beyond that is the fuel pump blader past that is the viton seat that the float needle that it seats against to let fuel in and shut it off, I suspect all should be replaced. I can direct you to a tecumseh carb manual to help you understand and do a rebuild. Just send me personal message with your e-mail addy and I will show you. Its really no big deal to rebuild your carb and fix the inlet tube.

Eskamans kits are complete and you get instructions, same ones that are in the manual, I have heard eskaman has no patients and if you screw up and e-mail for help you may or may not get a answer. On the other hand the carb is a easy rebuild if you follow the instructions to the letter.

As another option call the people eskaman get his parts from @ www.certifiedpartscorp.com 1-800-356-0777
