EST coil location

Where does the factory mount the EST coil on a V8 ? I'm swaping out the mallory ignition for the EST on a 1980 mercruiser 260. I have a stamped throttle bracket ( 805359T) and it looks like it will bolt up there.

anywhere it fits and the coil wire still makes it to the cap.
as the EST uses a dry coil, orientation is irrelevent.
myself I would try to find an easy accesible spot out of the way of routine service. sometimes hands,knees or tools can break of the coil tower.

Back of the port head is where Volvo puts them.
There is also the harness between the coil and the distributor that has to reach.
