Sorry---That will not work on an E-TEC !!!!------You must stick with the oiling system as designed.

why in the world would you do that.... what is the issue with the motor you wish to fix ????
something to read.....

any mixed oil would go directly into the cylinders and the innards would simply dry up ....

It's leaking oil out of the bottom port in the front port into the air silencer and just figured it would be easier than finding the problem and it's shutting off when I give it the gas

suggest you consult with the experts on the E-TEC user group and use the search utility .

Stalling.... have you at least done some basics like checking fuel filters and the sneaky one in the VST injector return hose . see manual

Faulty VST at may be causing some grief... sending fuel into the crankcase instead of just vapors to be burnt off

you really need EV Diagnostic software to service these engines to see if the EMM has picked up any faults

if you look at the EMM side LED's in the running state (idle) and none of the LED's are ON indicating all sensors are OK (see manual) . it may very well be something simple... but it all depends how much you want to service your ETEC.

let us know what the mecanic finds and find a good mecanic :)

That is caused by bad recirculation check valves. Easy fix, just buy the new oil recirculation check valves or take the old ones apart and clean then out. They sometime like to stick. They act like a pump which sucks the oil from the bottom of the crankcase and puts it in the top.

Different check/recirc system on Etec and carbed engine
Probably... idk much about the carbed engines though - I only mess with E-TEC. Maybe I'm part of the wierd crowd that likes the world's hated engines - HPDI, optimax, ETEC. LOL

For the OP: Here is a couple of diagrams of the recirculation system. Be careful when working on the oiling system as doing it wrong could mess the motor up! Just don't touch any of the feed lines and you should be good. (only mess with the recirc. valves and hoses). If you accidentally disconnect the oil feed lines, the oil system must be primed through the software. (It isn't that expensive, might be worth buying)
