Re: Ethanol & Fiberglass

What are you planning on doing, filling the hull with E10 fuel?
The only problem Ethanol and Fiberglas have is if the fuel tank is fiberglass, and you don't have a fiberglass tank, you have an aluminum one.

Re: Ethanol & Fiberglass

Don, My Tank is Fiberglass, Or the alluminum tank is entirely coated with fiberglass. My 95 2355 had an aluminum tank. As far as filling the hull, NO. But im hearing that Ethanol fuel is causing some trouble and was curious if filling the tank and treating with stabil was still recomended for winter storage. Thank you.

Re: Ethanol & Fiberglass

Bayliner has NEVER used fiberglass fuel tanks that I am aware of, besides that, I don't thing a fiberglass gas tank is even legal anymore. You don't have to believe me, call Bayliner Monday, toll free at 877-861-6494 and give them your Hull ID number just for varification.

Since we obviously posted at the same time, be sure to give them a call. They will know if there is any problems with "YOUR" tank material (Whatever it is) and E10 fuels.
