Hi folks,
I am working on my Evinrude 115 HP of unknown vintage (see below*) and I need photo of someones correct linkage. Mine is in the photo and the deadstop for the lowest idle setting is misaligned- the deadstop rubs the block and hangs up the timing advance a little. I am wondering if there is a shaft spacer behing the pivot that is missing.
*The Unit is a 1997 115HP but the power head has been changed out with an older one of unverifiable age. Was reported as an 89 but I don't know how to verify that.
I was also wondering if anyone can tell me how to choke/prime this engine when hand starting with a dead battery. There seems to be an electric primer on top of the carbs and it has a little valve stem on it that I guess is for letting air out but maybe for hand priming?
KH
