Ev 30 High speed miss. Tried everything!

My 84 Evinrude 30 misses hard at high speed. Every 2 seconds at full throttle. Please keep in mind thats about 200 revolutions a second. At half throttle the miss is about 4-5 seconds apart and it runs great at idle.Everything I read in the manual that I try makes sense at the time.I've replaced both coils, the cdi module, rebuilt the carb, and rebuilt the fuel pump.I am now about to try the shift adjustment I just made as soon as I rebrush the starter. The jerk I bought this from looked me in the eye and promised me this was a great running motor with a rebuilt starter. I'ts a shame you can't trust anyone these days. I would appreciate any help. i suggest taking an induction timing light with you and connect to the plug wire, see if you can see the intermitent miss. isolate which is doing it. could be as simple as a cracked plug wire, shorting to the block.

What tashasd said . . . Also double check your grounds, especially on the coils. Dressing the ground contacts to the block with a file might be in order for those coils too.

You mentioned shift....I suspect you are already on the right track. It probably isn't missing, it's jumping out of gear and instantly slamming back into gear. Worn out clutch dog and forward gear in the lower unit. Not uncommon at all. Too bad you did all that work and expense on the wrong stuff.
