Evaluating an Islander

So...will be looking at a late 80s 221V this weekend and the owner says there are a half dozen or so rivets leaking, approximately half way between the keel and chine, laterally and around the front of the raised cabin section longitudinally. I know I would need to pull the floor and foam to rebuck rivets, but is there any way to determine if, or what, structural supports (stringers or ribs) are effected without pulling the floor?

Additional info: Mix of salt and fresh water use, and owner says she will pump out about a gallon per hour.

IMO, if the hull isnt breached or deformed, anything thats affected by 6+/- leaking rivets should be fixable.

Cracked ribs, rib ends, hull cracks at rib ends etc have all been repaired and well documented in multiple topics.

Stringers shouldnt be in direct contact w the hull anywhere.

Actual damage will be tough to ID w/out pulling up some decking, unless you happen to be able to see the hull in the bottom under either side cushion storage bin in the cabin.

Take a look at the Islander I posted in the C List thread. It would be tough to fix an older boat up as nice.
