I would like to know if its possible to bore/hone the cylinders to oversize pistons on my Evenrude 70 from 1994.<br /><br />What oversize pistons is availeble?<br /><br />Evenrude 70 HP<br />Model nummer: BE70TLERV<br />Serie nummer: G 03635307 <br /><br />Thomas Amonsen

Yes sir, you can bore your cylinders oversize. Most common oversized pistons are .020" and .030" over.I think some aftermarket piston manufacturers go as high as .060" over for some engines.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

Just like Hooty says, sure can. <br /><br />Go the smallest you can and still clean up the cylinder(s). Try to keep all three the same.
