Around here he would`ve had to go to Tim Hortons to find that many cop cars in one place.

Send the sucker to the slamer and make him pay for ALL the damage.

At least he had the sense not to hurt anyone. I can see him getting a lot of one on one time with a shrink in his near future.

I hope there was some sort of video surveillance on the parking-lot. That had to be an incredible thing to watch.
What confuses me is one reports him as a farmer and the other reports him as not being a farmer????

I try not to judge a book by it's cover, but I was looking at the cop cars and the tractor thinking, who the heck would do this? Then I looked at the guy and though, "yeah, I could see that guy doing that". I know that seems wrong, but....lol

Pion is facing a slew of charges including gross negligent operation -- leaving the scene of an accident. Pion is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.

I call BS on that charge. There was no accident there. Accidents are when you go "oops, sorry!".
If he said that, it must have been with as much sarcasm as he could muster.

Well actually they tag EVERY charge they can muster on the guy and the States Attorney decides which ones to try the guy on. Pretty frustrating system for all involved. Yep, no accident in my book.

It made national news!! A farmer from the NE King-DUMB LOL :)

I thought everybody in VT was laid back and friendly? What the heck?

Seriously though, people are just going crazy all over. How does a person climb into his tractor, run over 7 police cars and think for minute that this was going to work out for him. Incredible.......

I like the fact that people had to call 911 to tell the dispatch to check their own back yard.

On TV this morning it was mentioned that the building the offices are in is "energy efficient" and the AC was on so it was well insulated from the screams of the Fords getting crushed!!

To all those that keep asking how he thought he was going to get away with it...
It's called "The guy just doesn't give a **** anymore!"
He knows he not getting away with it but just doesn't care.
They didn't say what he was arrested for previously, but if it was some stupid BS charge and the guy figures if he's gonna be in ch!t it might as well be worth it.

Cops are just so stupid these days that they make good people want to do bad things because they tick them off so bad!!!

Here is a quote from a local news article today..... "He was apparently mad over his recent arrest on resisting arrest and marijuana possession charges."

I would love to see a drug test done today........ I know what my money would be on!

Re: Ever get arrested and want payback???

Ok.....but here's a BIG question. What exactly are the circumstances surrounding his possession charge?
If he is actually a farmer, and some jackhole of a druggie had planted that weed in a back corner of his CRP ground, how often does that farmer look at that ground?
A few months go by, and a local LEO just happens to spy it on a drive-by. Well, it IS on the farmer's property, (even though he has no idea it's there), so the prosecuting attorney presses the charges, no matter how much he knows it's a bullshirt charge, because it will make him look good in the papers.
Shoot, the seeds could have been carried there by some animal.

Speculation on my part, but still possible.

I think he was bound to lash out over something one day. His last name may be pronounced "pee-on" and he may have endured years of ridicule from his peers while growing up!

Here's the BS, $250,000 for 7 police cars? That's over $35,000 each. They don't cost that when they are brand new. $40,000 each, even when fully equipped is HIGH. Who's on the mary jane here?

Re: Ever get arrested and want payback???

Oh wait, my bad, one was a Ford Windstar minivan. Shoot, that one is worth at least $100k right there! Considering they haven't made Windstars in about 10 years, it's worth 5k max. Oh and one Impala that was no newer than a 05. There's a 5k car too.
So now we're $240,000 for 5 police cars? That weren't new. If I am his attorney, I am calling the State Police to get them to investigate falsifying a police report.

Sure the guy is wrong and going to jail. But wait til the County's insurance company settles with them, then we'll know what the cars were really worth. (ANd that number will be A LOT closer to $100,000 than it will be to even $200,000, let alone $250,000)

I believe it.
Unless they intend on purchasing used, beaten to death, Crown Vic interceptors, they are going to want to replace the cars with new ones.
If they stick with Ford, they will be buying new police interceptors which are now purpose built Taurus's.
Price out what your standard Taurus costs since you are going to be hard pressed to find the figures on what an interceptor costs. Equip it simmilar to the Taurus's they use, but also keep in mind there are additional things to the interceptor that have to be added or changed. Pretty easy to understand the cost would be around 35K or better, and thats not even installing the lights, sirens, gun racks, on-board radar, or mounts for equipment.
