Here we go again, hunker down again:<br />NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tornadoes and severe thunderstorms struck Tennessee on Friday afternoon, killing at least two people, peeling away roofs and flipping cars over, officials said. <br /><br />Tornadoes were reported in the Nashville suburbs of Goodlettsville and Hendersonville, and in Holladay, about 90 miles west of Nashville.<br /><br />The storms flattened trees, knocked down power lines and damaged homes and other buildings.<br /><br />Two people were killed in Sumner County, northeast of Nashville, Eddie Boatwright of the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said.<br /><br />At Volunteer State Community College in the Nashville suburb of Gallatin, several people suffered cuts and scratches, spokesman Eric Melcher said.<br /><br />Two campus buildings were severely damaged, Melcher said. Emergency workers searched other buildings in an attempt to account for all students.<br /><br />At least 60 to 70 cars were reported seriously damaged or flipped over.<br /><br />In Cheatham County, just west of Nashville, "we've got roofs off, trees down, lines down," said Doris Mays of the county's Emergency Management Agency. "There are a lot of people without power right now."<br /><br />Last weekend, violent storms and tornadoes killed 24 people in the western part of the state and destroyed more than 1,000 homes and buildings.
