I have posted this question two times in the last three days and I have received zero replies. Have I stumped everyone?

I installed a new carburetor on my 1999 9.9 Mariner 4 stroke. How do I adjust the mix screw on it for optimum performance?

Sorry about your carb issue and lack of response. I am not going to be of any help as well, especially since it was a couple of years ago that you posted.

I just bought a used 2007 9.9 4S as a kicker on my Bayliner. The guy I bought it from did not have an Owners Manual. I am searching high and low for one for my year and HP, but am having no success. I am reaching out to anyone that might still have theirs or to anyone like yourself that has a Merc similar in size and model year. EDIT

Thank you for your service in the Navy.

Mercury is in bussiness to make money! I also bought a messed up 05 15hp Mercury 4 stroke. The fact that that I was planning on keeping it for a long time I bought a Factory service manual. Yes the $70. killed me but I justified it by the money I saved buying a low hour motor. Do Not Buy the Knock off for $40!!! Why are you putting a new carb on an 07 motor? Almost all carbs can be repaired with the proper carb cleaners a manual and a good carb kit. I have an 05 Mercury not a Mariner so it isn't exactly the same but my idle adjustment is hidden under a brass plug so you can't adjust it. Take a 1/8" drill and make a hole in the center, it may pull out when you do it it is not a tight fit. Can I have your old carb? Ha Ha!
