Working on a evinrude 100 xp, It's giving an alarm that beep's faster under power, then slow's down when throttling back.
The vro has been unhooked for a couple year's, mixed gas in tank. Replaced thermostat's,poppit's and impeller, hit it with the infrared after part's were installed and it's running at around 110-115 deg under load. Any idea's?
Model: E100stlend
Ser#: g03109350
Help would be great, the guy would like to finish using it this summer!

Re: Evinrude 100 alarm

The only alarm remaining after disconnecting the VRO is overheat and that's a steady tone. Was the VRO harness disconnected (it should be) when the rest of the VRO system was disabled. If that harness is not disconnected the VRO will provide alarms because there is no oil flow and it's continuing to do what it is designed to do.

Thank's, upon looking as you suggested, the harness was still hooked up! I unhooked It now, just have to run it and check. Thank's again,
