w2much,

wats exectly your starting procedure?

do you activate the primer????

if you can start it with the primer open and your carbs are flooding from the needle that doesnt make sence to me.
Way to much gass from both.
if this was the case i think you would stall right out or not even start.
im shure your float is set to high when you invert the carb.and the engine was runing on your primer.

this is what i would do:

-set the floats level
-set primer to solenoid operation
-sqeeze bulp till hard and no gas is passing bulp
-turn ignition on, press in and hold it till engine fires.
you may need to push it in after initial start to keep it going she will pick up the rest herself.
after she is warmed up press in the primer again she should bogg down. if she picks up shortly before bogging down you are running lean.
and thats a no no

this should take care of your problem

good luck

Re: Evinrude 110 HP 1988 Carb fuel coming out the front

Just to update all who have offered their advise. Bought another boat and motor which is in great shape. Kinda nice to have one that rolls off the trailer starts as it should and needs nothing at the moment.Put the Rude 110 in mothballs for a couple of weeks. This PM took off the carbs as the sun was seting. Hope to take a look this weekend. This is getting personal. I will get it running right. Thanks to all of you. Still open to advise and opinions.
