hey folks-
I got a 84/85 rude 110 v4. I like the boat its on, but if I cant get this thing to start better, its gone....
get to ramp, prime bulb, advance throttle, push in key and turn. it will start for a few seconds, than act flooded, have to rev it up on high to warm up, than if the planets are aligned, it will idle and away we go... now, when it runs, its runs sweet. full power, no spitting or anything, runs like a race horse... pull into a cove to fish a bit, lets say 20 mins.... go to start the darn thing and its all over again, like its cold??? Id think I should be able to turn the key and go, but no, gotta sit there and let it warm up or will will die as soon as I put in gear..
Ive had a tune up after I got it becuase of this issue. than brought it back for the same issue, and they tell me its fine.
so it possbily me, which is fine
how should one start an older engine like this? how far up should I pull the trottle advance when starting, mid way? all the way? not at all?
looking for all constructive feedback!
cheers
