Evinrude 110hp Over-revving, new prop?

I'm using a 13 3/4 x 15 prop on my 16 foot ski boat running a 110hp Evinrude outboard. The props is in good shape. It seems that once I reach 4k RPM, the boat doesn't want to gain much more speed but just revs up higher. I don't know the speed I'm reaching at 4k because I don't have a gps or speedometer. It seems my engine might be over-revving?

Can anyone make any suggestions if it looks like I should change my prop?

Really can't be specific without wot rpm and a gps speed. Some cells have a gps app.
You can check for a spun hub; draw a waterproof line across the hub and test run to see if the line moves/breaks.
Is the anti vent plate(just above the prop) about even with the bottom of the transom?
Its possible the 15" prop isn't enough. We can't tell anything about your rpm without some good numbers to go with it.
Gear ratio, gps speed and prop size and wot rpm gives us 4 out of 5 numbers needed to evaluate your setup your rpm is suspect but with the other 3 numbers we may be able to tell if the tach makes sense. Very often tachs are not accurate.

Speed should go up with rpm. The 110 is rated 4500-5500 rpm. On a 16 ft light weight boat a 13x19 SST II is a good match. Should run 45 to 47 mph at 5500.

Is this something new? Spun prop sounds like a good candidate. Do you have PTT? If so, does trimming in change anything? When you get to 4k do you get an all of a sudden rooster tail?
