evinrude 115hp 1994 water leaking

i have a 1994 115hp evinrude & there is little streams of water shooting out from where the lower unit bolts up to the motor, when i hook up the water hose to the lower unit to run the motor in the yard. how bad is this & how hard to fix?????

when you're hooked up to muffs, you'll see water coming out of all kinds of places down there. richard's right, it's not a problem.

that joint where the L/U meets the midsection, manual calls for "OMC adhesive M", which has been superceded by 3m 847. I've used permatex #2 there with good results, but the 847 is easier to use and cleans up better next time around.

you can take care of it with your next impeller replacement, or leave it be, your choice, it's really more of a general suggestion than a requirement.
