I have an Evinrude 140 1985 that ran great on a 18' Boston Whaler, but when I moved it to my Grady White it stalls when you put it into gear. (either forward or reverse) If I put it into gear and then give it some throtle quickly we are on our way, but if I idle in gear coming off or going onto the mooring, it will stall out. I did not know if the linkage adjustments needed to be tweaked (since that is the only thing that changed) or if the idle needed to be upped. I am running the same oiltank, wiring and even the same controls and cables from the Boston Whaler. Any input would be helpful.
