I guess there are no prop shops near Daytona....

I got the jackplate installed and that did help quite a bit. Wondering if I can just have my SS 15x17 prop cut down to 13.25x17.

Ken says the suggestion of 13.25 by the pro calculators is because they expect the small gearcase. Blew out the lower unit and decided to go with a larger engine for about the same money as repairing the LU.

Hall's propeller service in Christmas, FL. Good shop, but an hour away.

Tried to read the whole thread, but might have missed it....Do you get your gas from the same place every time? If so, find another source of fuel and see if the probs stop.

At the very least run the boat on portable fuel tanks(and make sure all fuel lines are replaced/new) til you have one made etc.
