after making about a 15 min long run to weigh in, my engine started making a weird noise. it sounds like it is slipping gears. im not sure if that is what it is but here is a video if you want to listen and help me figure out what it is doing...

at 27 seconds you can hear as well as two other times in there somewhere.

If you have slipping gears you generally get a clunk. From the video it sounds more like an ignition miss.

Sounds like it's skipping to me, too. Check your plugs for color - they should all be a medium chocolate brown.

Yes, the spark plugs. If it is missing on one cylinder via an ignition issue, that plug may appear darker than the others. Once you've localized which cylinder it is skipping on, then you can do some troubleshooting to determine if it is a power pack or coil by swapping parts around. If memory serves, your motor should have two power packs, so you can swap them side for side and see if the problem follows the pack. Same for the coils, swap the suspect cylinder's coil with one that looks to be working properly and see if the problem follows the coil.

Also,a good start might be to check and clean all grounds where coils and power packs ground to the block. Heat and vibration may make for an intermittent ground resulting in a skip like yours...
