Been offed a 150 DI (ficht), one of the last ones made in 2006.

I thought anything that wasn't an Etec was bad!

So is this an OK engine? What's the story, I'm guessing that Evinrude got their problems sorted, but is there anyone that could confirm this?

I'd also like to know what the fuel consumtion is like?

BRP had pretty much worked the bugs out of the FICHT system by 2006, Andy.

If you get a factory warranty you are pretty safe.

If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. The 2006's are pretty solid....

Fuel use is better than average. There are more fuel efficient outboards out there, but the late FICHT's were pretty well refined.

Just realize that as good as the late FICHT's were, there will always be folks out there that remember the early FICHT problems and will shy away from it. That may ultimately effect long term resale value....

Cool, thanks guys!

The outboard is a 2005/2006 counter rotation model with 30 hrs on it. Comes with a Top mounted throttle.

We'll see if I can do a deal on this baby.
