evinrude 150 intruder

Does anyone know if there was a problem with the rectifier in the 1993 intruder motor. That would cause a fire. please help

Any water cooled reg/rec has the potiental to catch on fire if it shorts out internally. Its not isolated to any one model engine. <br /><br />The 60 degree motors are really good ones. Have fun and good luck!

If yours burnt, that makes 3 that I know of in about 12 years. The first things I would look at is the battery connections.
