Evinrude 150 tilt down

I can't get the trim to go up or down. Both solenoids click when I press the switch. I can't pick the motor up by hand and looking at some of the other forums you think it does not have enough oil in the resevoir, but I don't know how to get to it... I think it is a plastic one up under the motor but how do I get to it????

Dont know that much about tilt and trim but;<br /> does the tilt trim motor run when the solinoid clicks?Could be as simple as a bad connection on the T&T motor circuit.

I have this problem alot with my saltwater boats. Just take the solenoid out and clean the prongs. Put it back in and have someone operate the t/t. If it clicks just jiggle the solinoid till it works one way then try the other. Placing some battery grase on the prongs will help a little.<br />Jimmyc

I finally got the motor up and put in some oil but still nothing until I started tapping the motor(trim) and got it to run up and down 3 times and it quit. Do you think the motor has gone bad. It ran like it did not have a full battery but I just charged it.

Check the brushes in the motor, had a friend that had same problem put in new brushes and it worked like new.
