Trying to do a spark test and have no key.
Going to use a remote start switch jumping the solenoid.. would I still get spark with the ignition in the off position?

Any help would be great.

Thanks Mike

NO. In the first place, if you do that, if you don't connect your remote start switch to the correct terminal on the solenoid, you will instantly destroy your safety switch. Secondly, if you decide to jump to the coil to turn it "on" you will be applying too much voltage to the coil and breaker points. The wiring harness has a built in resistor to prevent that.

So..o.oo.o, the way to do it is at the key switch. Connect a jumper wire between the Bat and Ign terminals to turn it on. Then your remote start switch between the Bat and St. terminals to crank it. That way, all the juice goes through the circuits as intended.
