Hello, I am working on a 1972 50hp Evinrude and I noticed that the fuel pump is mounted on the carbs air box not on the engine block. What makes the pump work. thanks
A vacuum hose goes to the crank case, as the pistons go up/down the case is pressurized +/- which makes a diaphram in the pump move in/out pumping fuel.
