I found a spring in my motor housing that I believe came from the choke linkage on the carburetor but for the life of me I can't figure out how it goes back. I have a Clymer manual that does not show the linkage. Can anyone direct me to a picture of the linkage. Serial No. E0006767, Model No. 50373R.<br />I thank I got the hang of this posting now.

I have a 73 evinrude 60hp and on mine one end screws on to the solinode and the other hooks around the plate lever of the NO# 2 carb

Thanks Skeffer, but the spring on the solinode is in place. Thats the one for the remote choke correct? I believe this one may have something to do with keeping the butter fly valve from bouncing closed under power. I could be wrong but, I just don't know.

The only other spring goes to a brass looking plate on the side of the second carb and is connected to the manual choke lever on the front of the motor if this is the one I can look at mine and let you know.
