Evinrude 1986 90hp

Hi, does anyone know what is the sparks plugs gap for this motor ( Evinrude 90hp 1986). Is it, .30 or .40. <br /><br />Thank you

The official recommended gap is .030, but many use .040, which was the original recommedation back then before OMC changed it's mind.

If you troll a lot the .040" gap will help with a more complete burn and inhibit oil fouling.Otherwise the .030" will work just fine.
