I have just picked up a second hand boat with this 1994 3 cyl evinrude on it. starts up no problem. runs super rough at idle, and drops rpms at advanced throttle. even at wot, it drops from 5200 to 4200, say every 5-10 seconds or so. It coughs and splutters on idle also.
What ive done so far,
1. new tank, new fuel
2. Pulled 3 carbs, ran new carb kits through them, set float levels.
3. installed new fuel pump kit.
4. new battery.
5. pulled all the leads off one but one at ldle, they all made a differece (drop in rpm) when pulled , indicating spark to all 3.
what I also noticed is that even at wot, and 500 rpms it has NO go (meaning no real spped) also on the muffs reved very quickly say at 300rpms, it doesnt seem the prop is spinning very fats. It's turning a 13 3/4 x 15, the prop looks real big for that 70hp engine.
so any idea's?
