Evinrude 1997 130HP????

Hello everyone. I am a new member and have a lot to learn but I've come to the right forum for that!<br />My question to you experienced members: I'm thinking about buying a boat with a 1997 130hp Evinrude motor. Is this one of the rudes that has had all the posts concerning reliability issues? Please help. Thanks

thats a 90 degree loopvee (looper). i think you would be happy with it. from all the other posts about these motors they seem to be very good compared to the others. im playing with my 1988 120/140. parts are reasonable and easy to work on.
