I have a 2 HP Evinrude Model E2RCRS, serial # E0311372 can anybody help me with the year and any other information.

It looks like your motor is a 1985 model.

I get 1984. Of course I am nearly blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

1984 it is
C=8, R=4

Well, darn. That's what I got when I did a web search. Oh well. My books are all boxed up.

Dont need a site (or a book) for that number, although there are several

CR are the date letters and the code is the word INTRODUCES

Where I=1 N=2 etc ... E=9 and S=0

Applies from 1980 onwards

(also have to admit that as the owner of a 1984 model I don't even need the Introduces code to know that CR is 1984 )
