Evinrude 200 reg/rec wiring

Hi I have installed a new regulator rectifier on my 1992 Evinrude 200. The old regulator had a yellow/gray wire and a yellow wire. The new one has 2 yellow wires does it matter what terminal each yellow wire goes too or can it go either way. On the old one the yellow/gray went on the second terminal post . I just want to make sure before I hook the battery back up that they can go on either terminal

I guess what I'm asking is the same ac voltage coming through both yellow stator wires and into the regulator/rectifier if that is the case then it shouldn't matter which way they are hooked up correct me if I'm wrong .thanks
