Well was out with new to me boat ran find then the issues started popping up. Loss of power and using fuel like it was going out of style. Found 5 of the 6 carb floats had black stuff in them so th floats was over flowing with fuel. Took them all a part cleaned them . boat ran great for two days then it would not start. then i broke the ignition and did something to the gear cable wont go in reverse . but can put in reverse with my hand. So i think i have fuel lines breaking down. So im going to replace fuel lines filter and the bulb and clean the the floats and jets. new ignition and try to figure the gear cable issue . drain my tanks and clean them out a. Any other ideas from you all would be great.

Before spending all that money I would recommend a compression test. If you have a bad cylinder then doing all that work would still not get you what you want.

Also while doing all this you will want to change you water pump. Especially if you do not know when it was done last..... Never trust the last owner.

If you did it your self already you probably changed the shift linkage height and that is possibly causing you shifting problem.
