Ive got myself a new dighny to use with my old 35 HP, but as the new boat is for long shaft, I have to convert the motor. I got a bargain on a complete leg from af 1997 30HP, that took a swim. I now see that the air intake hole under the carb is closed from the casting on the newer ones. Where does it pull the air in, I have to use my old hood, but its airtight. Should I drill holes under the tilt handle in hood ? Are the hoods different ?
