Had a similar problem with a motor awhile back. I replaced the exhaust gaskets, and the gasket the powerhead sits on. Fixed the motor, but don't know which gaskets did the trick.

Ok flatsfishing, yea a real gasket should do the trick. RTv is good stuff, but as hard as the powerhead is to get off, it's best to do it right.
On my last gasket set I purchased, I went down to the automotive parts place and bought a sizable chunk of gasket material. Then set down at the table and traced all the gaskets I could onto the gasket material. After that, I rolled up the material and placed it with the other Easter eggs in my shed. Now if I have a bad gasket, I have a back up......if I can find it.....Keep us posted on how things go.

Well heres a little update changed the exhaust gasket, Seafoamed it and got some new plugs which I am gonna put in tomorrow. I ran it for a while with the old plugs but they still seem to be getting soaked in gas? or some s not too sure... so well just see how it goes with these new plugs.. Im hoping the old ones are fouled out and this is the problem...

Checked spark looks good.. I only ran Seamfoam through it for 30min.. It seems like water is getting into the cylinders... could the exhaust gaskets on the side have anything to do with water going in there??

When you replace the exhaust gaskets be sure to do both of them, use gasket sealer not RTV, torque and re-turque after running.

Sure you don't have water in the gasoline?

Ahhhhhh the head gasket !!!!!
I remember that post !!!!

The powerhead has to be gone threw to find the water intrusion problem, it could be a gasket, cracked block, who knows. It shouldn't be running like that and blowing steam out the exhaust ports/tell tale.
