Evinrude 35hp ensign?

I thought i had a 35hp big twin but instead it said this Evinrude 35hp ("Ensign" or same thing like that.) Any help on exacts? Thanks!

what year, model #? Fastwin. it is still a big twin, different marketing name.

Have no idea what year you are talking about. There were 1957-59 Evinrude 35hp Big Twins, Big Twin Electrics, and Larks. You have to fast forward to 1976 to get another 35hp.

I thought it was a 57 big twin, but looked at it today, and saw ensign. Maby that's what happened, I know i heard it was replaced. More info on monday.

I don't now are there any engine manufactures named ensign or something like that?

Never heard of any. Gale motor's accessories like gas tanks and controls were named Bo'sun.

WEll I did some research, and its a 35hp elgin. sorry for posting this in the johnson, evinrude section can you please move it for me moderator:redface:
