itoo am looking at a '98 3 cyl. e.start evinrude with tilt/trim.my other option is replacing my 30 yamaha with one with el start and having to buy an aftermarket t/t. any preferences out there? how bulletproof are the evi-tilt/trim?much speed differance?

An Evinrude 35 is a hot little motor and since it comes with a factory installed T&T, that would certainly be my choice. As far as which is faster, I couldn't say, other than you'll have 5hp difference with the Evinrude.

The Evinrude 3cyl 35 hp was a very good mtr. If you get it, the only thing you should do is take the oiling system off of it and mix your fuel 50:1. Trust me,been there.
