Evinrude 40 poor performance

I have a 1992 Sun Tracker with an Evinrude 40. The boat starts fine but idles rough. It seems to be skipping/vibrating. When you give it full throttle it boggs a little and still seems to skip. I pulled the spark plugs. They were wet with fuel. I also smelled alot of fuel. Could it be the power pack? any suggestion?<br /><br /> Thanks<br /><br /> Robert

i think it is a carb problem,, the improper amount of fuel at different rpms,, try taking the carb apart & cleaning it , adjust the float in the bowl of the carb,,tad
