I have a 1978 evinrude 55 that has a bad cylinder I also have a johnson 55 1977 that is in good shape except that the leg is 6 inches shorter than the evinrude.My question is will the power head from the johnson fit the evinrude with out anychanges ,the only difference i can see is where the water for cooling exits the two outboards.The evinrude is by the engine and the johnson is from the front of the leg.I need the longer leg from the evinrude for my boat.
