help ! i've just rebuilt my evinrude 1983 60hp twin after extensivly stripping it down. After putting a little juice in the pots it fired up and ran great until i tried to switch it off, the key and kill switch failed to work but disconnecting the fuel did...eventually.
However, on checking my work bench i found a small grey cable, about 5 inches long with circular tabs/connectors on both ends, its bent through 90 degrees and obviously should be on the engine, but where? I took a few photos of the engine prior to the strip down but still cannot locate it.
