Evinrude 65hp Dying When Hot

I have a 1973 Evinrude 65HP Outboard that dies after about 30 minutes of operation (im losing spark). After sitting for about 15 minutes the engine restarts with no probs. Anyone have this type of problem? Any ideas will help out. Thanks.

Sounds As If Your Over Heating. The Sensors In Your Heads Are Bringing Down Your Motor As Not To Damage It. I Would Make Sure There Ok. And Also Check The Theromstat.

If its not the motor over heating it could be the coils/coil packs over heating. This is usually a good sign that they are going bad.

Thanks for the help, that is something else I can check. I was looking around and found out that it could also be the powerpack as seen here on this post http://www.outboardrepairs.com/topics/010051.html Thanks for your help and I will check the things you pointed out as well. Hopefully these will do it.
