I am rebuilding a carb for a '73 Evinrude 6hp. I checked the top secret file, but no mention that I could find of whether or not to use gasket sealant on the carb gaskets. Do I use sealant? If so, what type is recommended?
Do not use any sealants on the carburetor. They can get into the jets and your are right back to where you started ... a dirty carb. All carb gaskets should go on dry.
